Kitchen design magic in Edgbaston, Made in Birmingham

The Fowkes’ wanted to create a bright family space that was warm and traditional, yet with a touch of quiet glamour and discreet luxury. To start with, we knocked out two of the walls to improve the flow of space between the kitchen and dining areas. Furthermore, we added in corner bi-fold doors to the garden. As a result, the new kitchen living space is flooded with extra natural light.

Kitchen design Edgbaston

There’s certainly no excuse for poor light to stop play in this corner of Edgbaston now!

With the new layout sorted, we turned our expertise to creating the very best kitchen design in Edgbaston. We opted for top quality painted solid wood Shaker kitchen to create a warm traditional feel. It was then we added layers of luxe and style. The Cotswold antique brass cup and knob handles – made in Birmingham – add a tactile touch of local history and craftsmanship. A Belfast sink with upmarket Perrin and Rowe mixer tap add another element of luxury. And finally, we knocked it out of the park, or cricket green, with a top of the range ILVE Italian range cooker.

…adding a touch of green

We went with two contrasting tones for the painted cabinetry, pairing a modern light grey with a strikingly versatile forest green. This almost-blue green adds extra depth and warmth to the centrepiece kitchen island. This makes it the perfect place to pitch up and talk team strategy.

We used the same forest green on the bespoke dresser to create the perfect seamless transition from kitchen to dining room.

Beautiful fitted kitchens in Edgbaston, Birmingham

Finally, we upped the ante (on the style front) by using a quartz Silestone in White Arabesque for the countertops. We topped off this beautiful green kitchen with a slimmer profile 20mm counter. This sleeker finish looks sharper than fresh-out-of-the-packet cricket whites! Howzat for a finish!
