Sometimes a run of new cupboards, a lick of paint and a change of accessories does the job. Sometimes a luxe-over is enough to refresh your outdated kitchen and make it work better for you. But sometimes, just sometimes, a bloody great sledgehammer and the judicious removal of internal walls is the only way!
Sure, a new kitchen with beautiful cabinetry and shiny new handles will certainly be an improvement on the dingy workaday space you already have. But what if the layout is still wrong? What if the configuration of rooms still doesn’t work for your lifestyle right now?
Beautiful kitchen pantries in the West Midlands
Most of us buy a house and spend time turning it into our h$ome. We change the colours, the furnishings and add our own unique touches. And we end up living with an inherited out of date kitchen, making do with what’s already there. With what suited someone else’s lifestyle.
Kitchens have sell-by dates too
The problem is that, more often than not, the inherited kitchen is from another era, another lifestyle. And that lifestyle is simply not the same as yours. And no lick of paint or stylish accessorising can change that. If the microwave-mash and Findus Crispy Pancakes on the sofa is not the dinnertime vibe you’re after, then an 80s kitchen is never going to work for you. Because, much like those random spices festering at the back of your cupboard, kitchens go out of date too!
When the Beasley family decide to do something, they don’t do it in half measures.
So when they decided to upgrade their kitchen, and make it an integral part of their home, we really went to town on it! We wanted to create a dream kitchen that worked for their modern family lifestyle. Firstly, we looked at how they used the space and at what worked for them. And, more crucially, at what didn’t.

…and that’s when we unleashed the sledgehammer
We quickly realised that the current configuration was clumsy and inefficient for the Beasley family. Accordingly, we decided to reconfigure the entire ground floor to make the perfect space for their lifestyle. We added an extension and removed walls to open up the space. Hell, we turned the whole layout on its head!
New boot (room)s and pantries
The old kitchen was transformed into a lounge and boot room, whilst the new one was given a pantry and utility room. But not just any old pantry and utility room! We’ve continued the stylish look of the kitchen into these new rooms to add style and beauty into these practical areas. Because life’s too short to have a drab utility room! Check out our gallery images to see what we mean!
The new kitchen space is now home to a bespoke run of In-frame cabinetry, painted in an on-trend light grey, topped off with a quartz-silestone countertop in White Arabesque. This beautiful combination makes the very most of reflected natural daylight. And, when night falls, the Beasley family are lit up thanks to a carefully considered combination of spotlights and plinth lighting. In addition, we added a show-stopping pendant light over the island unit, which is painted in a contrasting charcoal grey.
…and here comes the luxe bit
With the perfect modern layout designed and executed, it was time for the fun bit! Time to accessorise the Beasley’s dream kitchen!
Cool for cats
As a kitchen of this quality deserves only the best, we opted for a stylish range cooker, Neff appliances and a Liebherr freezer with ice-cube maker. Furthermore, we added a boiling water tap for daytime entertaining, and an integrated wine-cooler for evening. Because this is a kitchen that deserves to be seen and used by day and by night! Whether it’s cups of tea, mulled wine, a chilled Riesling or and iced margarita, we’ve got all bases covered.

But it’s not the luxe bits that make a kitchen perfect. It’s all about using our craftsmanship and decades of experience to create a space that doesn’t just work with your lifestyle, but actually enhances it. It’s about creating the perfect flow from kitchen to dining area, complete with a dresser unit to tie in with kitchen units. And, the most important thing of all?
It’s about creating a timeless kitchen that’s just right for you and your loved ones.
