Open up your living space
When our client first approached us about renovating the kitchen they had a dividing wall separating the kitchen and dining room. This really inhibited the use of the dining room as it was closed off from the rest of the house. The first step of the project was to get this removed which instantly opened up the space creating a fantastic open plan kitchen diner. The next phase was to remove the ceiling as it was really low and made the kitchen feel smaller. We also blocked off the door leading to the alley. This enabled us to utilise more wall space for this kitchen renovation.
Kitchen renovations in Stourbridge, West Midlands
Once the wall and ceiling had been removed the room instantly felt bigger and more spacious. As well as this, it also allowed more light into the room which always helps!
Working with a galley style room, we designed the layout to be as practical as possible. We included two large drawer units under the hob for conveniently located accessories such as utensils, cutlery, pots and pans. Opposite the hob we located the Belfast sink and dishwasher so they were all in close proximity. The inclusion of a tall fridge freezer, oven and combination microwave makes for an impressive and convenient cooking area.
A dramatic kitchen renovation in Stourbridge
The style of kitchen followed and the clients chose a beautiful dark blue shaker kitchen with silestone, white, arabesque, Quartz work surfaces. The white marble effect of the quartz complemented the dark blue perfectly. The addition of a light natural stone floor tile also blended really well with the chosen colour scheme. The finishing touch that really tied everything together was the inclusion of copper. Our client went with copper cup and knob handles and a beautiful copper tap which really set everything off wonderfully.
