Creating the illusion of more space
Working to our clients’ brief, we designed this beautiful fitted kitchen using the best of the available space. After their fitted showroom visit, our lovely couple requested eye-level ovens but instead of using tall housing we opted for midi housings. Our use of these smaller housings ensured the room didn’t feel enclosed. Thus giving the illusion of more space whilst maintaining the practicality of an eye-level oven. Completing the look on this wall are a combination of open and shaker top box units. The open unit was specified in egger natural Halifax oak, which offers a contrast against the greys of the kitchen doors. Continuing the theme, the client then chose to match the materials for the open unit and the worktop seamlessly combing the two together. This complimentary contrast of textures lifts the quality feel of the fitted kitchen tenfold.
Angled glass cooker hood
Following on from the wood grain contrast for the worktops, the client then decided on a driftwood floor. The flooring was a mixture of dark and light greys, combined with a lighter oak. As The driftwood contains a mixture of all the colours within the kitchen, the flooring effortlessly tied the palette together. An angled glass cooker hood was chosen to add a contemporary twist on the shaker style. As displayed in our fully-fitted kitchen showroom in Kingswinford, this type of hood is also really practical, as the main part of the hood is above head height. Fitted kitchen, Utility room and larder unit
In addition to the fitted kitchen, we also fitted a utility room for our clients. The utility contains the fridge freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer.
